Located on the Beautiful Tickfaw River

Welcome to One Day, a beautiful two-story log cabin on the Tickfaw River. Located on a steep, grassy hill overlooking a bend in the river, the cabin is uniquely situated to provide a perfect view that stretches for more than a mile in either direction. We truly believe that our cabin occupies one of the most beautiful spots in South Louisiana, with ancient oaks and cypress trees, fascinating birds and wildlife, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you could ever hope to see.

While the cabin looks rustic, we assure you that it has all the comforts of home. There is a fully appointed and modern kitchen, a spacious living room with plenty of seating, three comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an enclosed sunporch. In addition to the cabin itself, which sleeps eight comfortably, there is a small guest house on the property to suit larger parties. A wooden walkway provides a safe and comfortable descent from the porch and side deck to the dock, boathouse, and raised deck, located at the bottom of a grassy hill.

We would love to have you visit us. Please take a moment to look around our website for more pictures and information. We must warn you, however, that all our guests have universally agreed to one thing: photographs simply cannot do the place justice!

Property information

The cabin is family-owned, smoke-free, and kept immaculately clean. Linens and towels are provided, along with dishes and cooking utensils in our fully-appointed kitchen.

The bottom floor of the cabin (including one bedroom and one full bathroom), side deck and guest house are accessible by wheelchair. Unfortunately, the rest of the property is not, and because of the hill might provide a challenge to those with mobility concerns.
